RE: UPDATE on "Yes, We Can!" public education effort

    _____________________________________________________________

Gov. Rendell is saying, "No, You Can't!" balance the budget without raising taxes on working Pennsylvanians and job creators.

The reality is, "Yes, You Can!" while also protecting public safety and human services, and educating our children.

So far, nearly 80 members of the House and Senate agree. Do you? (Click here or here to see if you're counted among those who want to balance the budget without raising taxes.)

I have also provided another opportunity (click here) for you to publicly state where you stand. Please fax, email, or mail the form with your name, signature and date. You can also hand-deliver it to us when we’re in the Main Capitol rotunda on a daily basis at 10AM to update the number of members saying "Yes, We Can!" We’d love for you to check off your own name and put your signature next to it on our over-sized billboard.

Also, I've personally heard from a number of Democrats who would like to sign on to our "Yes, We Can!" public education effort, but feel there would be severe personal backlash in their caucus if they publicly stated their position.

Therefore, at your request, we are willing to keep your support confidential while anonymously adding you to the growing number of members who recognize we should not be raising taxes in our current economic recession. If you're interested, just reach out to me at 717.671.1901 or via email here.

    Sincerely,

It is disappointing not to see Sen. Rafferty, or Rep. Vereb and Harper on this list. Nor Reps. Hennessey, Ross or Milne. Naturally, no Democrats
