   My friends and I had a great time in Wilkes-Barre yesterday! My friends Mayor LOU Barletta, Luzerne County Commissioner Steve Urban, Luzerne County GOP Candidates Walter Griffith and Gina Nevenglosky with many others greeted Michael Steele during a warm GrassRootsPA reception.

   WILKES-BARRE – National Republican Party Chairman Michael Steele said Wednesday he believes Wilkes-Barre will play a pivotal role in many large state races this year.
   The party leader was in town for the opening of Luzerne County Republican Party’s permanent headquarters near downtown.

   “We will be in Pennsylvania. There are some important races here in the state this year. Wilkes-Barre will play a big role in that, and we are excited for the opening of this headquarters,” Steele said as he left headquarters about 3 p.m.

   Steele attended a ribbon-cutting and delivered remarks Wednesday afternoon to county Rep.............................

   WILKES-BARRE - Republican National Committee Chairman Michael Steele spoke to a room of party loyalists, as the county Republican Party held a ribbon cutting Wednesday at its new headquarters on Main Street.
